Rainy Day Activities

Augh, this weather! It's been bitterly cold (negatives), and when it isn't as cold, we have been hit with rain, freezing rain, sleet, and overall icing... everywhere! There truly isn't much we can do outside - well, except fall down.

Today is no exception to the weather, and so I've decided to pull out the "Rainy Day Activities" box. The kids have chosen to decorate their own plate/mug with ceramic markers. They had a blast doing it. Colby did a plate, and his design is a guy with a goatee and crazy hair. Kaylee chose a more elaborate design, almost like doodles, with filigree and flowers.

They both worked hard on them for over an hour, and in the end were very impressed with their creations. I have to say, I was impressed as well. We've tried this once before when they were little - didn't have the same results.
