Spring is in the air...

I have noticed plenty of buds and emerging bulb flowers around and about the neighbourhood but it has an been incredibly mild winter so far. I was very surprised to see this tree in blossom already though. I have no idea what it is - it is ornamental - in a garden near the cathedral.
I think we will be getting frosts as we have not even reached February.
I just hope the fruiting trees are not damaged by it.

We were invited to lunch with a colleague/friend of Fred's and his family which was a true Indian spread and very delicious. Our waist bands are still suffering post Christmas, this didn't help - but hey!
Post food effect meant I just finished reading my book after we arrived home instead of sorting any school work (it was getting dark anyway...)
