'Retro' or 'Junk'?!

Do you remember these nail and thread pictures from the 1960s/70s?

Whilst having a clear out of the attic, my parents came across this picture, and two others, that they had made back in the last century! They were piled up ready for the tip when I spied them, rescued them and whacked them on ebay with a starting price of £0.99!

To my parents surprise, last night, after a fierce bidding war, this particular picture went for £31, with a second one fetching £22 and the third one £10.50!! With postage at £15 each added on top of the above prices, people were obviously keen to get their hands on these 'masterpieces'!!

So the lesson of the day: one person's idea of 'junk' is another person's idea of a 'retro' collectable! Time to start hunting through your attics!!
