Not Albert Bridge.

Beautiful walk to school, the light and mist was amazing. Best start to the week we've had all year. Perhaps we were still full of the joys of panto but everything went very smoothly and everyone was positively relaxed and in fine spirits. Significantly superior to Mondays of late.

Despite having swapped some work time on Saturday for pilates this morning, as the kids were both occupied by people other than me after school it has been a pretty productive day. I have events the next two days that I am feeling nervous and unprepared for but as that is generally my M.O. I, ironically, won't worry about it.

J is facing a moral dilemma tonight on whether to miss a session of a course he is on to participate in a school athletics tournament. We have shared our views but are experimenting with him making the decision himself. Not 100% sure he is ready for the responsibility of that but then again we won't know when he is if we don't let him have a go occasionally. He's in agony about it. Hopefully if he sleeps on it he can make a decision tomorrow. Or we will step in. Interesting parenting moment.

Good job it's been a good Monday or not sure we would have been up to it!
