More walls

In about three weeks I am doing a day's dry stone walling course - partly because increasingly I enjoy just looking at the walls that were built so long ago and still stand against all that the elements throw at them. There is a permanence to these walls - walls that are so integrated into the scenery. These particular walls are part of an extensive complex of ruined buildings that almost formed a village in themselves.
Two hundred more trees arrived today - here's hoping a few survive to form some shelter around the house for the next few years.
