Juicy fruit

Not only is the wee man getting to enjoy romping around (almost) in the nude every day while under the hot sun of Oz, he's also getting to enjoy some seriously ripe, juicy fruit - especially mangoes. It seems everyone in Oz has a mango tree so there'e plenty to go round at this time of year.

Nikki reported that he was fab today, a perfect host as old friends popped into Gooma's so they could meet the new man and get a cuddle. In the afternoon, Gooma babysat so that Nikki could sneak away and hang out with a friend for the evening and when it dawned on him that his mum wasn't there anymore, he apparently made Gooma take him all around the house in an attempt to find her. Then, later, they were looking at photos together and when he saw his mum in one of the pics, that was it - he was quite sad and inconsolable for the rest of the evening until Gooma crooned and rocked him to sleep. Definitely is a bit of a mummy's boy at the moment.

Meanwhile back in Blighty... After landing late last night, Grandma and I jumped straight in the car and drove down to Lincoln's A&E department to have her bites more thoroughly looked at. Thankfully the doctor was confident with the original Malaysian diagnosis so it was just a case of redressing the wounds and hopefully getting the all-clear from her local GP on Monday.
