Shaft of Sunlight
The lights have been on all day today. Very dark. Very wet. Very windy. The MV Graemsay managed to make the trip across to Hoy today so CMC went to help her mother. Her mother has struggled to get through a bout of shingles and has had a bad chest infection that three different antibiotics struggled to throw off. However she is feeling a bit perkier today. CMC will make her a meal and a pot of soup and give Garson a spruce up.
CMC's mother reports she has had great support and care from Dr Cromarty. Dr Cromarty's grandfather was the island GP who attended CMC's birth in the croft of Skews.
I have just started making a pie and am just about to put the pastry base in. Planning roast tatties and glazed carrots with it. Hopefully this will give CMC a boost when she returns off the last boat of the day.
Listening to Dresden, by JanGarbarek, which arrived today with the post at 2.43pm.
