Chewing the Fat

As I was walking into Stratford to meet Ann, who had been at the Records Office, for coffee at Nero I thought about how lucky I was, it was mid-week, I was going to have coffee, I was taking photos, there was no pressure to do any anything or be anywhere and the sun was shining. I still can’t believe after five years of retirement that after forty years of work my time is my own to do as I please.

Entering Henley Street I saw this couple of guys, and one leaving, the library. Like me they had time to stand and chat or visit the library.

Emma went for a first interview at a new agency; her second will be a two hour grilling including a presentation always supposing she gets invited back. She is looking locally for work as her current agency is moving to Putney so she may need to move to London.

In other news Dylan had a grooming today at Tracey’s. This will make him cooler in this winter weather and easier for us to find the spot to stick the needle.

The afternoon was spent watching Murray get beaten by Federer in the Australian Open quarter finals.
