THE WHITE WORLD OUTSIDE

did surprise us. A layer of snow alters one's view fundamentally we knew of course, but it is such fun to found it out again.
The sky however did hesitate to turn from grey to a lighter colour, blue for instance or even pink. Piet Hein expected a parcel to be delivered but when it had not arrived at 2 pm. we started our walk. Expecting to see the postwo/man perhaps on our way down the valley.
There had been some deliberation which direction we would choose, but in the end, a simple walk along the Diemel river seemed the best option. No climbing a hill today.
The snow had started to melt already but we enjoyed what was left of it upon the trees and bushes.
We followed the lower path along the river. The one we usely do not take because it can be muddy and sometimes overflood.
It was muddy and our toes get wet in the end but we now stood for a long time at the place where a small waterfall is formed. I was immediately fascinated by the whirls and the constant changing of form in the water.
Once in a while the sun showed her smiling face but the thickness of the clouds
prevented her to shine for much longer than a second.
When we arrived eventually in Helmershausen we took the opportunity to jump upon the bus that arrived there and in no time we where back where we had started our tour.
Tea is a good medecine for wet toes especially when the blend says it is 'Himmelszauber, Winterpunch-Mandel'. Meaning: Heavenly magic, winterpunch-almond.
We were after tea busy looking at our pictures, and we both choose an image that shows part of the waterfall/whirl.

My haiku:

Upstream we follow
Our dreams whatever outcome
Is in store for us

And the proverb:

Far from Jupiter, far from thunder.
