It's all MAD! Just call me Einstein!
Apologies for this quick late Sunday blip. I will be quick so you can get on with your lives very shortly.
I ran down to breakfast at 8:30 and was the second person in the restaurant which was actually in Pierre Bistro joined onto the hotel where we were all staying. I had included breakfast in my booking but the rest of the gang didn't, preferring to fill up at Wetherspoons (The Golden Bee) in Stratford at a more civilised hour! I had my usual egg, bacon and tomato, two slices of toast with orange marmalade. Lovely! There was no way I could have lasted until after 10am which was when everyone else was ready. They would have had to carry me up the road!
While they were eating breakfast, I was posting Saturday's blip and we were having a laugh about the previous day's antics.
We all trundled up to The Mad Museum! Having never been there before, we all really enjoyed it. I'd recommend it to anyone and we had a great time pressing all the buttons and watching the clever displays. I caught the picture of Albert Einstein on the way out as I have always loved holograms. The Camera Obscura on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh is one of my favourite places to visit as they have a whole floor of marvellous ones.
We shuffled around the touristy shops for a while resembling a collection of zombies from The Walking Dead. Actually, we weren't quite that bad!
It was back to the hotel then as my lovely Edinburgh friends were being collected at 2pm to return home and I reluctantly left too. Roll on March when I will be up in Edinburgh for a week. We have met a few times now over the last year and a half and I am quite pleased that they have not decided to emigrate (yet!) to escape from me!
