A new arrival...

We have a new kitten! This is a very hastily shot image, in a dark room, with flash (I don't like flash!), but he is so lovely, I had to show him off.

We have been trying for the last week to find a male kitten – preferably ginger and fluffy, because this will be son S's cat – and that's what he wanted. (Isis is very much N's cat.) But there was a shortage of boys at the RSPCA in Burwood (only two to choose from) and only one at the CPS in Greensborough. And we didn't want a tabby (my last two were tabby) or black. But Bingo! The Lost Dogs Home in North Melbourne had a few boys to choose from, but we all loved this one – he didn't cry once in the car on the long journey home and was so relaxed he slept. Now to think of a name! (His name at the LDH was Widget, which is just silly.)
