Keep the Heid

Today's adventures included a wander around the Isle of Dogs, Canary Wharf and Greenwich. I discovered murderous water birds, giant silt deposits, the new Canary Wharf Monica Vinader shop, Tom's Kitchen (the Tom being Tom Aitkens), the Cutty Sark and had a lovely time poking around the old Royal Naval College (including the Painted Hall) and the cracking "Turner at Sea" exhibition at the National Maritime Museum.

The blip is of a collection of ship figureheads in the National Maritime Museum. I've tweeted already about Coriolanus, in the bottom right corner. He was built in Dumbarton for the merchant ship Coriolanus in 1876, but his head fell off the boat during a hurricane off the coast of South Africa. This is his new 1902 heid.

Last night my sis and I went up to the viewing bit of the Shard, and then we went to Hotel Chocolat's London restaurant, Rabot 1745, where we had a fabulous cacao themed meal. And to top off a great few days, I'm now on the train and don't appear to be sitting next to a psycopath.
