The Quireboys

Had a lovely night out with Mr A tonight to see a band called The Quireboys. they were big in the 80's

The support act was our friend Mark Curran (he was the reason we were tempted to get the tickets, kind of a 2 for 1 deal!).

The venue was a pub, which was really cramped & for me spoiled the gig a bit as everyone was jostling for space. There were some great not really odours in there too! Eeww.

Several of Mr A's friends were there too so it was nice to catch up with them over a few beers. We debated whether a rock and roll band translates well into an acoustic set; opinion was divided so we agreed to disagree.

We are seeing both bands again in a couple of weeks time when we visit Edinburgh; we purposely coincided our trip with the tour dates!
