Fluffy Storm

Finally, a snow storm that produced actual snow... and lots of it. The kids were excited to wake to a couple of inches on the ground, the television confirming the closure of school, and the anticipation of lots of outside play.

Unfortunately, grown-ups don't get "snow days" and work called to both BJ and I. Kaylee chose to join me at work rather than stay home to watch the snow. Colby gathered his snow-duds and was ready to get to Val's for the day.

Although it's late in the season to get excited about snow, I have to admit, it was a pleasant change from the ice and bitter cold that we've endured over the last month. The temps are more seasonable, and the snow is covering all the dirty snow making the world pretty again.
