Frogger

We stopped at St James Tarn to take a photo but I wasn't very happy with the lack of light. We were about to leave when A spotted this froglet on the grass.

He was struggling to leap and she noticed that he had an ant clinging onto his leg. A quick capture, a pinch of the ant and frogger here leapt to freedom and hopped happily away.

Wrong lens, as is so often the case, but I managed to crop him in fairly closely. I love those gelatinous feet.

Having blipped a fully formed frog last week, and a froglet this week, we're clearly regressing so maybe next week it'll have to be a tadpole.

NB: Thank you all for sending yesterday's butterfly to the spotlight page.
