Lake land

Every morning as I look out my bedroom window lately I've seen bigger and bigger patches of gunmetal grey behind the scrub and trees at the bottom of the hill. So today I investigated. This is what I found - the water meadows turned into a big shining lake. Luckily, of course, no-one lives there, though there are other parts of Winchester looking rather more vulnerable. However, we're not Thames side or Somerset Levels. Poor poor people. Will the govt actually do anything to help? We have to wonder..

At least now there are masses of snowdrops and crocus out, though that seems rather thin comfort.
