Walk with Asyr to give him a break from the over boisterous Sultan who just doesn't know how to get rid of his excess energy. Asyr as usual was overdelighted to be taken out as he knows there is a chance of finding some blades of green grass.
Loads of trees have been marked around the house and in particular the group of 20 or so that cause us winter darkness. The machinery & men with chainsaws are in the area and very audible. Hopefully they will be here soon.
As we went in to the forest saw one of our large (normal) chickens dead with he innards exposed. Was a bird of prey, there being lots of feathers around (a fox would take the whole bird). Thats life as they say. Will dispose of it at a particular site where badgesr & foxes come by - but a kilometer or so away!
Had SkyNews on for late baked beans on toast lunch. Emotions running high along the Thames. Even though we are used to flooding, it is a very depressing - one is totally powerless against this silent menace. No doubt we will have it again this year. Pumps are all ready! My thoughts with all those suffering.
Normal day but lots to do. So thats it for today (I heard that sigh of relief!)
