It's so so very very cold this morning on a very clear bright day before the next storm. This one promises the gamut of winter fury, snow, sleet, rain wind, then back to icy mixed heavy slop.

I did the commuter train drop off run, and got gas. I was armed with my little Leica and dressed warmly with gloves inside my warm mittens. It was too clod for bare-handed shots. I started to think about where I could drive in town to get some shots with hearts for the Hanover Historical Society's Facebook page.(Massachusetts) I'm not a Facebook member, but I am a Board member of the Society and happily help out with photographs to add to their page. I headed to the Hanover Four Corners area of town and found just what I wanted. We shall see if they make it to Facebook, but one made it here and the others are on my flickr page. In this one you can see the historic Wales Tavern reflected. "It was at the tavern at Four Corners that the stage stopped on its way from Boston to Plymouth to Sandwich. The first tavern/hotel that operated in the busy Four Corners area was called the Wales Tavern . Legend has it that Paul Revere slept in a room here when he came to install officers at the new Masonic Lodge. The tavern was built in the early 1700's when many ships yards were going full blast. The Four Corners was a busy place with upwards of 400 workers at the height of its prosperity, and an inn was indispensable for hospitality and a cup of good cheer." Barbara U. Barker
There are several antique shops there now and I had fun with their window reflections and contents .

For the Record,
This day cam win cold and calm, tomorrow will be stormy and sloppy. Those under water in teh UK are in my thoughts.

I was just looking out the kitchen window(of the thousandth time today) and I noticed the sparrows and grackles fussing and fighting over the old birdhouses on the side of the barn. The sparrows had beaks filled with nesting material. Can spring actually be in the wings?
