Certifiable

I'm pretty certain if anyone had seen us on our walk today that's what they would have thought. The track you can see in the photo is fairly representative of most of the tracks we walk along. Some are worse. Fossey doesn't care tho, the muddier the better as far as she's concerned.

We managed to get a pretty good walk in, despite the weather warning. Granted it was windy ( and then some! ) but it almost didn't rain until the last 30 mins, when we were homeward bound. It's a pity that for 15 mins of that we were the most exposed, so we were a tad wet when we got back.

Unfortunately for Fossey, the rain doesn't reach her muddy undercarriage, so she still had to be hosed down. She's not not keen on this, but I couldn't allow her in the house half disguised as a black lab ( the lower half! ).

Made parsnip soup and soda bread for lunch, which should tide us through til we take our neighbours out for pizza tonight. Payback for all the times they've looked after our cats when we go away at weekends. As much as I'm looking forward to moving, I wish we could take the brilliant neighbours we've got with us!

One day I will blip them in the flesh, but this is the picture Sav drew of them kissing during their first dance at their wedding reception.
