Thirsty

"but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life." John 4:14

This is a picture of one of the mugs I was given when I left my previous job by one of the nurses. I have started taking this mug to work with me as it has my name on it!!! I bring it home every night though as I don't want to lose it...

I chose this Bible verse about being thirsty and how Jesus said that the water he gives us will mean we will never be thirsty again. He is of course talking metaphorically about the Holy Spirit, not actual water. I wouldn't advise anyone to stop drinking, it is the one thing nurses are known for to nag about drinking enough!!!

This verse also talks about being filled with the Holy Spirit (or water) and that this will well up inside and lead to eternal life. A lot of the Bible verses I have looked at by doing this have been about how the Holy Spirit can help us with all sorts of things. But ultimately, all of these are aiming to bring us closer to God....
