Yosemite Day Five

We woke to a gorgeous blue sky this morning. After a complicated breakfast, involving vouchers and much debate about what you could use them for, we headed out.

The day was spent walking up to Vernal Falls, a steep climb but one of the most beautiful paths we've ever seen. Along the way were many photo opportunities and we have a lot of photo sifting to do later!

After the descent, we returned the valley floor for photos of Half Dome basking in the sunshine. We were once again photo-bombed by some very tame deer.

Finally we made our third attempt to catch the Firefall at Horsetail Falls and this time it was successful. Expect to see several very similar shots from the others on this trip, it was a stunning spectacle. This is a unique event that only happens in the last two weeks of February each year. It's the result of the sunsetting at a particular angle and hitting the waterfall.

There are now 6 other Blippers on the Yosemite tour so check out JohnGravett, GrahamColling, June Fox , Keith Knight and MatthewLynes.

But please especially check out and welcome our fabulous guide's brand new blip journey - Mike was the only non-blipper on the bus and we turned him!
