'T' for Tatty Butterfly!

So we finally managed to get to Wisley RHS Gardens today - along with the whole of Surrey!!! We were limited to time as Mr W had to get back to play more Squash so made our way straight to the Butterflies in the Glass House, only to find the queue was estimated to be an hour and 45 minutes. Luckily it was only about 50 minutes in the end thank god as Mr W is the worlds worst queue'er!


I totally loved it. There were enormous butterflies everywhere. I wish I had 2 cameras as I had a huge one land right on my camera as I held it! Sadly my camera wasn't quite up to the low light so was quite disappointed with most of the shots I got. The butterfly that started with 'T', the Tailed Jay, was no where to be seen and other one, the Tiger Longwing was a bit boring - so here you have a 'Tatty' Great Mormon! That completes DDW's Alphabet Challenge blip for today.

We joined the RHS Garden for the year like what old people do! as Wisley is slap bang in the middle of the area I work in, so when I'm between jobs like tomorrow! I have somewhere free to visit! and I'm hoping to get back to see the Butterflies again before they all die finish on the 9th March.

Home now to a roaring fire, trying to work out the name of the Flutterbies I badly blipped!
