baby's first baking

Okay, so making rice crispy cakes isn't exactly baking - but it's the first time I've let Arlo loose in the kitchen and he bloody loved it. At first he freaked out at me trying to put his AMAZING peenie on, but when he saw me put mine on he realised that it was a good thing.

He then ate dry rice crispies whilst I melted everything and I let him dump all the crispies into the chocolate - he loved that bit. His eyes nearly popped out of his head when I started to mix it all around and then he did a very fair division of quick stir in the bowl, quick shovel of chocolate crispies into his gob.

Now we get the joy of eating them! Scrummy.

I am sat here blipping on my sofa, in the midst of my first Friday night off in 2 months - it is bliss. We've getting some pizza, I'm having some vino and I plan to watch a bit of smellyvision and then have an early night with my book. I am about 100 pages away from the end of Sarah Waters' new book The Little Stranger which is very very good indeed.

And all day tomorrow we're at Robbie & Tracy's for a much needed friend-a-thon. Bliss.
