Lums.
One of those days when everything you try and do seems to take forever... still Friday the thirteenth successfully navigated with little adverse effect.
One funny from today though - after the daughter spent hours trying to get an appointment with a doc at the beginning of the week, she received an unsolicited one today. Apparently, one of the community mental health teams want her to see a consultant psychiatrist... Since she's never been in contact with them before, none of us could work out what was going on so she phoned them up. After a discussion with a secretary about her inpatient care (which she never had) the woman reached the conclusion that the appointment had been issued in error.
Reassuring to know they are on top of things!
You might well be wondering what all this has to do with chimneys. Well, not a lot really. The daughter is still hobbling around, but the antibiotics have kicked in and she can at least weight bear now. (This is a step forward as I no longer have to be the support act every time she needs to go anywhere).
The son, however, wanted my company on a walk. It's not something he's done spontaneously for a while and he's been a bit tired today because of the chemo so I was really chuffed when he asked. We took the cameras with us and as he got first dibs on the pigeon pic, I got the lums. Story of my life!
