Toilet track

The toilet is at some remove from the hut - up this beautiful track.

You can't beat a morning hot cuppa at the hut, then a wander up the hill and a wee sit on the throne with the door open enjoying this view.

Wonderful way to begin a day - though it is a good idea to warn the others before you leave the hut that you're going to have the door open (which I did).

And I'll admit that the wasp nest under the floor of the outhouse does mean you've got to be fairly brave to sit for long.

The walk home today was a lot easier. We were guided to the temporary track that has been created upstream from the big slip - if we'd only boulder hopped another 10 metres up the river bed yesterday we'd have found it, and saved ourselves that terrifying climb!

One of the group (A2) is the birthday girl today so we went out to the Red Barn for lunch on our way home. Four smelly and grubby women all hoeing into coffee and food didn't seem to upset anyone unduly - but we were very aware of our state!

Happy birthday A.
