OLYMPIC (AOG) FLAME

From a distance, this last shot of the magnificent Olympic Flame just before it was extinguished almost looks like it has set the trees on fire. It was a glorious torch, almost as big and bright as the sun!

After the Closing Ceremonies, Team Squirrel’s super athlete Elmer pauses to give a big salute to everyone who participated in the Alternative Olympic Games. Of special note, Debbi of Life’s Little Moments received a standing ovation for her efforts in rounding up reporters from around the world to give the Games the recognition they so richly deserved.

*** It was a very busy day without any time to concentrate on pictures. At the end of the day, with nothing to blip, this reporter caught a quick shot of the sunset – over the hills and through the trees, and tried turning it into an Olympic moment.
