Early Evening at Copacabana , Rio

There was excellent entertainment on the terrace of the Arpoador Hotel tonight, including a saxophonist and a capoeira performance. It was another unusually hot day with a definite feeling of the carnival coming. Almost everyone is now sporting a little something: a flower in the hair, colourful garland, straw hat, or brightly coloured sparkly top. And that's just the guys.

Took my blip as we walked along the front of Copacabana towards Arpoador.
