Beef and Mushroom Stir-fry
Today was a day for painting the hall downstairs. Just white emulsion paint on plaster walls. What I had not realised was just how dirty the old paint was. It was only when I started applying the new paint that the greyness of the old stood out. With two coats of good paint on now, It is looking a lot better. But there are still a few places where a further lick of brilliant white is needed. A job for tomorrow.
Stopped early, since was I on dinner duty before we went out to the bridge club. It was Beef and Mushroom stir-fry. The recipe may just be readable. But the ingredients were too limited and the method of making too complex. I will adapt the recipe next time - and there will be a next time.
Incidentally the bridge was good (and I did well - possibly good luck as well as a good partner.) And all at the club were in good spirits - still buoyed up after a great night out for dinner last Friday.
