Highwaywoman

Shot along the A4 -- the new part! -- between Steenbergen/Tholen and Bergen op Zoom. Stopped on the hard shoulder ('parked' is a dirty word) for about two minutes max and this turned out to be the best. That area at the farthest end of West Brabant just before Zeeland appears to be really photogenic and so the intention is to visit as often as time will permit. The lightfall this afternoon was perfect, at least to me.

Left work way on time to catch the live coverage at Parliament where our Olympic athletes and their coaches were officially honoured. A number were knighted. After that, they had an informal and private audience with Their Majesties King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima where the press was not allowed, but that's okay. The Parliament ceremonies were finished at 15.00 and so I had the rest of the afternoon to go on my regular drive. By that time, the grey clouds in the morning had all gone and I enjoyed the rest of the sunlight. Glorious!
