A good day for kite flying ..

When I opened my bedroom curtains this morning I was amazed at the view - a beautiful fast flowing river!

We had a lovely breakfast together and then I hit the road. It was gorgeous weather and I headed towards Harewood for a bit of kite photography.

It was a fabulous route - across the moors and through Weardale - lots of curlew and lapwings and grouse, but I need to learn new techniques - as soon as I stopped the van everything flew away!

I had a lovely afternoon playing with the kites - and then headed back home, back to reality ..
