Wow what a day......

Change that........ What a week month year!!

Been busy busy busy today. Baking, cleaning, dad sitting chief cheerer upper!! The SIL was having a bad day so it was coffee, cookies and earhole bending! Thankfully, she soon cheered up as we chatted while I baked my dad an apple pie, did lots of washing and generally tidied up. I popped down the road to deliver the pie and check in on dad. He's still not recovered poor thing so I think he'll be back to the quacks for a check up.

I drove to the school today to pick up the babies as conker had parents evening and I needed to get dinner and homework sorted early. Unfortunately, turtle had taken a tumble earlier at break and came out of class very upset and in lots of pain. When he showed me what he had done, I must admit, my stomach dropped, as it was clear he needed medical attention! Oh no not the hospital again!!! Poor thing had taken the full brunt of the fall on his wrist and hand (he only has one! So this is a lot worse for him :( )

So instead of parents evening, we sat up A&E waiting for x-rays! Luckily, we didn't have a very long wait. After waiting about half an hour the triage nurse very carefully looked turtle over and giving me that 'uh oh' look sent him straight to x-ray. So we joined the X-ray queue and after some very nice bone pics were taken we got ushered into see the Dr. He was a very lovely South African man with a very strong accent. He looked at the X-rays and examined turtles wrist and said he couldn't see a big break but thought there may be a hair line crack. As turtle only has one arm, he decided not to set it in plaster and bandaged it instead so as to give turtle more mobility. He went on to explain that the hospital only supplied crepe bandages but I could purchase a better suited bandage from the chemist. Turtle looked a little shocked and confused and as we were discharged he looked at me and said 'why has the hospital only got rubbish bandages?' Confused I asked what he meant. He went on to explain that the Dr said his bandage was crap! Lol I explained that he said Crepe which is a style of bandage and he had misunderstood due to his accent but it did make me chuckle!

So poor turtle is bandaged up in 'crap' bandages for the next six weeks and poor conker didn't get his options form signed or his parents evening. Another job to add to 'tomorrows' never ending list!

I'm off to the Drs in the morning for my injection for my frozen shoulder and I'm praying that's us done with the medical world for at least a couple of weeks minimum!!

Hope everyone has enjoyed some sunshine today. Spring is definitely on its way! :)
