Mummies, Pharaohs and Sphinxes
Another early start! School trip today with turtle to the British museum. It's a beautiful building with so much to see! We didn't really get a lot of opportunity to explore so I've promised turtle we will return on our own during the holidays.
Travelling with 30 kids on public transport is a bit of a mission! I'm very tired and although it's been great it's been exhausting too. Turtle is feeling a bit drained too and was a bit tearful halfway though our visit. It seems one of the teachers were a bit harsh speaking with him when she thought I was out of ear shot about him not having his sling on even though she had witnessed me taking it off for him so he could eat his lunch. I'm not sure what she thinks of me and frankly I'm not to bothered but I know she was none to pleased to be challenged! I was very well behaved, I politely asked if there was a problem. Funny how someone's whole demeanour can change when questioned! Poor turtle got quite distressed and I ushered him off to the loo so he could compose himself before anyone could notice. After that, he stuck to me like glue for the rest of the day. I hate bullies of any shape or size!!
We gave that teacher a wide berth for the rest of the afternoon and had fun making a video about the unveiling of a new sphinx and then wandered off to explore some the exhibits about ancient Egypt and mummies.
We arrived home just before 4 and went to collect the onion from auntie Georgii then it was off in search of conker, who was over the park playing with his mates. Then onto McDonalds for dinner.
Conker has gone out to 'youth' (club) for the first time this evening with friends. He changes a little more continually! I wish I could slow down the 'growing up'.
Now it's time to bath the babies and have quiet time before bed. TGIF !!! Lovely lay in tomorrow :)
