We're Brownie Guides, We're Brownie Guides!

Well I survived and enjoyed the Thinking Day Event held by The Black Isle District. There were about 60 Brownies, 20 Rainbows and 10 guides as well as leaders and members of the Trefoil Guild.
My day started at 9.25am and ended at 5pm so I am now shattered, sitting with my feet up and having a cup of tea.
This years theme was Education and although Thinking Day is the 22nd February this fell in the holidays so we decided to hold the event today which is also international woman's Day . Which seemed a good choice as Girl Guiding is only for females. NO BOYS ALLOWED ! I'm sure girls behave differently when boys are around.
My Activity was with the Brownies , 20 at a time, where they made a flag of India and wrote the word 'Brownies' in Hindi. Sangam is The associations world centre based in India.
We also played letter names and talked about education in different countries comparing it to education in Britain. When asked what they liked to do most at school, Maths came out on top by along way, followed by science and then gym reading and writing, art, music and drama.

1st Fortrose Brownies have made a banner, seen here, to celebrate the Brownie Big Birthday of 100 ! One of my Brownies bought in a picture of her Mum as a Brownie. She did nt look a very happy Brownie and it made all the Brownies laugh.
