Meet Pickles
To say that we overslept today would be an understatement. Between setting the clocks ahead one hour and sleeping in a bit, the morning was just about over before we even got up! It was not as warm as it was yesterday but the sun was still shining so it turned out to be good day.
We drove up to visit my oldest son where he lives in north western NJ and after a short stay at his house decided to all go out to dinner at a local Portuguese restaurant. It was a wonderful meal. I brought home my leftovers because it was too much to finish. The portions were very generous. I had homemade pappardelle pasta with sausage, English peas and sundried tomatoes in a light brandy sauce. It was heavenly.
After dinner, we returned to my son’s house and had some coffee. He has a cat whose name is Pickles. Pickles does not like to have visitors and hides under the bed when we come over. To capture this photo of him I had to lie on the floor while my grandson held a flashlight in the general direction of the cat. You can tell he felt a safe distance away from us and was willing to pose for the photo.
