Kanyes birthday

He's 9 today! Can't believe he's got to be such a big boy! Time has flown.

We woke him early as part of our family tradition. We all wore party hats even harper. We put a candle in an apple ( the idea is that you use fruit that's in season so they can then eat it) we walked into his room singing happy birthday. He turned over all sleepy eyed and smiled at us. He sat up and blew the candle out. We gave him his present which was the newest wiggles dvd.

The rest of the day we cleaned up and took care of the pets.

Then family came for dinner. My in laws and sister in law, my mum and step dad and Debbi who was Kanyes teacher aid for four years. She was like a second mum to him so she feels like family. He was really happy to see her!

We had lamb tagine on rice followed by peach and apple crumble and ice cream. We all had a cup of tea then we brought out Kanyes cake that Marisa my mum in law made.

We were all full and ready to lie down.

We brought the guinea hutch inside tonight seeing as it's going to get cold.

I'm really pleased Kanye had such a great day and I'm grateful we were able to celebrate with family.
