Skylarks (Mono Monday)

A mixed day. It started off quietly working at home this morning. Then I had a nice client meeting at their office MK followed by a super sunlit cross country drive towards Market Harborough for the head shrink later on. I like variety in my days.

As I waited my turn in the country lanes, I got out for a short stroll and then wound the windows down and tuned into the sights and sounds of the countryside for 15 minutes. The skylarks were twittering away in the fields and the sparrows, finches and blackbirds sang out from the hedgerows. It was heavenly. I always look forward to and appreciate that 15 minute wait in the middle of nowhere with that soundscape that has not changed over the centuries. It grounds me somehow and makes me think that everything is going to work out.

The head shrink was hard going but rewarding and ultimately positive.

My blip is of a stunning heritage village called Lamport that I pass through every Monday. I've often thought of taking a photo. I've treated it with SketchGuru, which I thought appropriate for a stately home of sorts.
