Sudden Rainbow!

A very rainy grey and windy day and I had to force myself out of the door. I was well and truly sick of yet more bad weather it was quite cosy in front of the stove with the rain lashing the skylights, dog snoring and perhaps a bit of the odd episode of 'flog it'. Anyways some unseen force (perhaps the renegade computer got my ass out of the door. We did a tour of Blencathra (couldn't see it) then onto Gowbarrow (could see it but didn't inspire me) then down to Ullswater, Glenridding, Pooley Bridge, Eamont then headed home and stopped at Lazonby (10 mins from home) whilst in the very well stocked Co op there was a terrific rainstorm followed by brilliant sunshine which gave way to a spectacular rainbow. I caught it as it was fading. Taken from Lazonby swimming pool car park looking over the Eden. I know exactly where that pot of gold is!
