RSD Photo's SoCal Life

Makeshift Studio

I was doing some work for a winery client back in the United States and needed a photo of a wine glass against a neutral background. Back when we had our marketing agency, it would have been a simple matter to gather the necessary props, setup lights in my studio space, and easily get the shot. Here in Mexico, far removed from such amenities, it takes a little more ingenuity. This is the setup that resulted from utilizing what I had available, some rope, a skimboard, and packing material over the glass block window. While not a perfect image what I managed to captured with this rudimentary setup was good enough for what I needed and allowed me to complete the design with a minimum of fuss.
