Such a hipster!
Euan has a rather cool beard these days- When coupled with his thick rimmed glasses his inner hipster comes out in force!
Went to inverness to take part in the raising awareness of breast feeding in publis event. It was rather chilly- i was rather glad of my new breastfeeding hoody the lovely Elena has thrown my way. Ivy was furious at having to wait for a feed until everyone else was ready (didn't want to let her start and accidentally set everyone else off ahead of the gun). It also turns out she's not fussy about whose breasts she has as long as she has some, whilst being impatient about the changing of sides (even more fiddly when you have outdoor layers on) she attempted to jump ship onto the breast of the woman beside me feeding her son!
We went with Don and Elena to everything baby to get Ivy some longer tights and a couple more wooly hats- by the end of the day she was rocking a stripey beany that matched her daddies so they could be hipsters together. She also acquired a rather fetching dress/shorts combo she can wear to weddings in the summer. For lunch we went to an italian resteraunt i've wanted to go to since the summer- not because we'd heard it was good, but because one day whilst pregnant I really wanted some Fritto Misto and when I googled where to get some in Inverness this place came up. It was very nice, proper pizza that my Italian family would approve of i'm sure!. Elseanne and Ivy were impeccably behaved in the resteraunt (altough Ivy did steal a teeny tiny espresso spoon, it's come home in the changing bag by mistake after I assume she dropped it in there). We were very kindly given some pouches of mango, guava and bannana puree by someone in the village a while ago so Ivy had one of those with her lunch. She hoovered it up! We've drawn up plans to reduce her fruit intake and add more veg instead.
There was a plan that Don and Euan could take Ivy to the pub to watch arsenal be beaten at football whilst Elena,Elseanne and I went shopping but Euan appeared 5 minutes after we left them. Apparently Ivy got thrown out of her first bar (some rubbish about not being liscenced for minors- I think it was utter nonsense, but can't be bothered to look up the law just now).
Got myself an outfit I can wear to Monday's interview, feed in and look reasonably smart.
We tried to take Ivy swimming at the big pool in Inverness, but when we got there at 5pm it had already shut. Next time though- i'm sure she'll love it!
