Cross Party Group

Murphy was down at the Parliament this afternoon checking out the arrangements for tonight's cross party group meeting.

He's already met some of the presenters today at the office, and he was very impressed with their stories and long history of getting men involved in learning.

He's rushing back to the office to prepare the 50 agendas and minutes for the participants.

Meeting went well tonight, and the MSPs there felt that they were learning new things about adult learning.

After the meeting they were asking about the international Conference we're holding. I told them we're having lots of issues, ones we thought initially would be easily solved, they're the usual ones though money and power.

If I didn't believe that what we were doing wasn't important I think we'd give up, but I do believe it's right at the forefront of getting members of the public to become involved in adult learning. What I can't understand is why it's difficult for people to want the same. Isn't equality important anymore?
