Another April Day
No snow overnight so took a walk in the forest and the last 20 minutes over fields which are now more or less free of slurry. The slow heavy wet sleet/snow has been ideal for washing the muck away, even our fields are looking much better today.
During the walk it started to snow or rather to send down a very soft hail which you don't feel at all. I think what the Germans call "Graupel" - not smow & not hail. It can just be made out in the photo taken with sunshining on my back. Today should be the last cool day and now it is due to head back up to the 20°C mark by Friday.
The Blip is nothing special but a record I wanted to make. It shows the south western edge of the village with, in my view, the most awful looking house in the south of Germany, erected a few years ago. How they got permission to build there let alone construct a WWI bunker, is beyond me. Now permission has been given for three more houses just to the left of it. I will refrain from making any comments about corruption but assume it has to do with "Vitamin B" (German Beziehung = Connections). Elsewhere in the village there are several building sites empty on the edge of the village, made available at reasonable prices, from the parish. I just hope the 3 new homes are not copies of the bunker although Mr Putin may want one as a holiday home.
