Too late

On the coolingwaterfilter we saw this sea-trout....
Well, what to do?
The seawaterlevel was low (low tide) so throwing it back into the sea would surely kill her.
So the decision was clear: prepare her for dinner.
How we know it was a "she"?
Well when we opened her we saw this.
She was full of spawn.
