Flaubert is feeling cold
A more lighthearted post than yesterday's....
This is a statue of Gustave Flaubert (19th century French writer notably known for his book Madame Bovary) in Rouen. Despite the current spring temperature some well meaning soul decided that a hand-knitted scarf in blue hues was required to resist the chilly night temperatures :-) or (and this is more likely) someone lost the scarf their grandmother knitted with love and someone who wanted to make a joke climbed over the statue to put it around Flaubert's neck.... I find this more plausible. Don't you?
