Sugary goodness
It's been a busy day today. There was an early start to get my assingment finished after finding out yesterday that half my data was wrong. Thankfully though I got it rewritten and still managed to submit it 45 minutes before the deadline.
Now I can think about more important things, like Christmas.
It's our annual Christmas party on Saturday night. It's been a tradition at my old flat for about 5 years now and the girls have agreed to let me host it there one last time. This year it's a triple celebration. We're celebrating Christmas and our lovely friends. We're celebrating The Boy and I having a new place and all the happy times we had at the old flat. And the third thing, which the guests don't know yet, Saturday will see me two months seizure free. It doesn't sound like much but after everything I've been through over the last 6 years with my health, it's fantastic to finally be free.
So today has seen me actually have time to do some prep. Took a batch of stuff to the old flat. Have got my Kat friendly Christmas cake in the oven. Sausages have been wrapped in bacon and are being pre-cooked. And most importantly, I learnt how to make condensed milk out of soya cream so that I could make my rum truffles. Whilst wrapping sausages I glanced over and noticed the odd sugar crystals that were forming on them.
Hope you've all had a lovely Thursday. I have!
