That Demon Within

The closing film for the Hong Kong art film festival---the Demon Within, casting by Daniel Wu and Chung KaFai, two charming and skilful actors. Everyone has their own fear, we trying to put on masks to conceal it, but it will never leave us from the heart. It's said by Daniel in the movie, in which he acted as a policeman who has metal problem because the demon within his heart that he trying to forget and repay. He killed a policeman when he was a kid, that was a protest, his father as a protester threw a can of gas to a policeman but accidentally hit back to himself then he was burnt to death, like a 'fireman'. That was the time when the horrible memory stayed, and he lost his father. Then one day he followed that policeman, who had his father killed by accident, then locked up his front door and burnt his house with the policeman and his mother. Daniel watched the policeman die, he got revenge but also guilty, and horror. When he grew up he take care of the policeman's mother and became a policeman, but with some mental disease that he never noticed.
I can see that actually every person has a demon inside his heart, but it depends on how you control it. There is a demon and an upright guy in his heart, he can't fight the moral value in his heart so he became mentally disordered. Take a look in the society, we all have something we couldn't tell others, but we choose to forget it and live like an upright person all the time. There is a saying in Buddhism: there must be some bad thoughts in your mind that demonizes your personality.
I have to say I am subdued by his skill in acting tonight. He's my favourite actor so far, and this movie is what I recommend.
