Elford Church - with blossom

They promised us some sunshine today so I decided to go over to Elford Hall Gardens again.

It started to rain as I set off, so I went to the farm shop first. Undaunted, I went over to Elford afterwards, as it eased and the skies were clearing. I had a mixture of sunny spells and overcast darkness (well, it is April).

There were some bluebells coming out (but not the UK national, natural ones). There were a couple of bees. It was far too cold for butterflies. The daffodils are finishing and some of the tulips were looking gorgeous, but the garden was rather at an in-between stage.

Not so with the blossom. The trees on the edge of the churchyard were stunning. With more sunshine over the next week or so, this will get better and better. So, if you live in this part of lovely Staffordshire, it is well worth a visit
