Porta sis ostium pacificum

This mosaic, installed in 1982 for the visit of Pope John Paul II, is over the north west entrance to Westminster Cathedral.

Although Westminster Cathedral was built a hundred years ago, its decoration is still unfinished. It has had several mosaics added over the past fifty years often, as here, to tube in with notable events.
