A Scarecrow With a View

We spent our first few days on Lipari, the largest of the Aoelian Islands north of Siciliy. This is a beautiful little island full of lovely poeple and fantastic scenery.
Hiking over the cliffs above the sea, we came across an allotment perched high up, seemingly miles from anywhere. It's a long way to walk to tend to a few plants and veggies and a lonley place for a sentinel such as this one. But the view is enough to make it more than tolerable!
