April 10th 2009 - Grabbing for a coconut
Hit the beach this morning for some attempted snorkelling and sunbathing before heading into town to pick up groceries and call Mum and Dad. Played some games back at the flat and on the roof terrace, before those of us playing there joined some of the others at a café to make super game. Those who were out from our flat then went for a walk which included Josefine and I having a little swim with some sea lions! They were so cool and playful, darting between and around us with such grace.
On our way home we ran into a couple of Germans and an American who needed our help with something. That something, as you can see from the blip, was retrieving a coconut from a tree. Sara was on my shoulders first (as you can see) but then the German guy had climb up so we could get one – only to be told by local that they don’t actually provide much water so our efforts were pretty much in vain.
We played some cards and had some spaghetti a la Mia and Josefine before heading out into town to find Polo closed. We then tried the ‘flag bar’ before realising the price and heading out to the prom with some soft drinks. We ended the night on Playa Man to take some photos of the stars before heading back to the flat for more cards.
