Fading Light!

"Red sky at night is a Sheperds delight" so the saying goes and after an extremely hot day...we cruised our way into a really pleasant and coolish evening!

It was a good thing because GK and I were out to an evening get together in celebration of a friend who was leaving after 35 years of serving in this land! That's us!!!

It was such a great evening...barbequed food, plenty of beverages, lots of chat and a sing-a-long...just like the good old days before everyone got too busy and onto the roller coaster of a ride that this city has now become! None of us made it home before midnight.....but none of us turned into mice and weasels either!!!

Going back to my blip....the sky just said it all....magnificent!

We so often talk about the fading light but I've only ever seen the eastern skies, when streaked with clouds, go scurrying out in a blaze of glory and, as the light of day gives way to the darkness of night ....its almost saying..."Fear not, the best is yet to be"
